London Theatre Ensemble A new play coming to The Camden Fringe Festival, August 11th, 12th and 13th. Written by Scott Howland and directed by Harriet Taylor.

Davey, Andrew and Tom are three caretakers from the north-east of England. They wrote, rehearsed and produced a play which no one will ever see. Nothing to Perform is the funny, heart-warming and brutally honest story of why.

The best thing about N2P is the folx who show up for themselves, for each other, and for the work.

We held a very impromptu Networkshop this week (those are our workshop-meets-networking events), and these are the lovely folx who came ’round for a cup of tea and a chat.

N2P is built on:

☑️ mutual accountability
🫂 peer support
➡️ lateral networking

This week was no different; artists making space for each other, sharing what they’re working on, swapping ideas, asking questions, and helping move the work forward.

It was a nice reminder that you don’t need a huge crowd or to have paid over the odds - a handful of willing and generous people, a few cups of tea, and a really good conversation are plenty.

That’s what we love about N2P ☕️✨

✨ N2P’s July Networkshop: LANDSCAPES ✨
with Rishi Rian 🌿📝

What does a character’s inner world look like?

This month’s Networkshop explores character through writing and movement, working from the idea that every character possesses an internal landscape.

A landscape might be sparse or densely populated. It might be shaped by memory, cluttered with significant objects, filled with bodies of water, or defined by horizons stretching into the future.

Through free-writing exercises and movement practices, we’ll explore how a character’s inner world influences behaviour, rhythm, relationships, and story. Together, we’ll aim to find embodiments that feel rich, detailed, and exploratory.

No pressure to perform.
No right answers.
Just a room full of people exploring together.

Whether you’re an actor, writer, director, or simply curious about process, we’d love to have you there 🤍

You’ll need something to write with/on, movement clothes, and a character to study.

About Rishi: Rishi Rian (he/him) is an actor, facilitator, and poet. He is interested in world-building as a tool for artistic exploration, with a particular focus on how atmosphere shapes character, rhythm, and story. His recent screen and stage work includes Murder on the Orient Express (UK Tour), Winter (ITV), and Elsinore (Studio Canal). He works as a freelance facilitator with Shakespeare’s Globe, The Old Vic, and the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.

We 💚💙🧡Actors

A big thank you to the actors who joined us for our latest readings at London Film School.

Reading a script that’s still finding its feet is a particular skill. Good actors don’t just perform the words on the page — they help writers hear what they’ve actually written. They spot opportunities, ask the right questions, and often unlock things nobody saw coming.

It was a pleasure spending the day in Covent Garden with the MA Screenwriters, hearing new work out loud and watching these scripts take on a whole new life in the room ☕️🎬📑

We’re looking forward to seeing where the next drafts end up.

Ash is off the rails.

Going straight from the sparkly sweat and tequila shots of the club to her first day of a new job, her new boss Lily is unimpressed. Their assignment: to catalogue historic cases of women accused of being witches. After an incident at work, Ash’s boyfriend Dom enters the scene as a knight in shining armour, even providing Ash with the best present she could hope for: a pet rabbit. But as the women delve into researching a disturbing series of murders, Lily starts to get the sense that something is wrong with Ash. Or maybe, something is wrong with Dom.

A single mum, two feuding pre-teens, and their gran. When Grandmother takes a fall, she is hastily moved to a care home she doesn’t want to be in, surrounded by other elderly people longing for comfort and missing home. But as time passes, she comes to see what really matters in life and between loss and loneliness, we glimpse the unexpected joy in life’s everyday moments.
