We had another wonderful Schubertiade with Miranda Westcott (mezzo) and Mark Packwood (piano). Mark wove the melodies around Miranda's full, smooth, warm voice as if it were easy. Thank you to both!

On Feb 11th 2019 we had "Die Winterreise" with Simon Wallfisch scheduled, but unfortunately he fell unexpectedly ill. Luckily Nigel Foster (piano) found Lorena Paz Nieto (soprano) to stand in at short notice.

They offered a varied programme including German music:
"Richard Strauss - Drei Ophelia Lieder"
"Franz Schubert - Seufzer, Ganymed"
..and Spanish music as well:
"Manuel de Falla - Siete canciones populares espanolas"

It was a marvellous recital!
