When baby Olivia arrived with her Mum for her casting I fell in love with her amazing hair! So funky and yet only 5 weeks old! I could not have asked for a more laid back Mum and baby, which made taking the casting a real pleasure. You were both fantastic!

An adorable casting; with every wrinkle and crease on these tiny fingers and toes. Gorgeous!

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting my casting models, Sarah and her 4 year old son Toby, what a cutie he was.

We had giggles taking the mould and Toby did well from the "bribe sweets" to keep him still for the couple of minutes it took for the mould to set.

"Hold my hand Toby" Sarah said and his response ...."I'll never let go Mummy".....how adorable

No relationship is the same...there is no blueprint to how they should be and my meeting with Laura and her daughter Chloe just reinforced this for me.

It was apparent how close they were, they knew everything about each other and laughed a lot and teased each other a lot more. When I asked them to hold hands, they could not have looked more uncomfortable...."we don't really do this" they said.

It's important to me that the finished sculpture is something they recognise and love about each other and the normal hand hold position just wasn't comfortable for them. "We are much more likely to arm wrestle" Chloe said and instantly they got into an arm wrestle and the smiles and laughter and instant comfort returned....and thats what we captured.

A beautiful fun and boisterous relationship between a loving Mum and Daughter.

So August was a busy month.... I finished the family hand casting, which they loved, and I'm really pleased with the bronze patina effect.

I started a new casting for a mum and her teenage daughter which is always exciting, opening the mould to reveal the detail held there...lovely nails on these ladies! Looking forward to starting the painting process on them soon.

I've had 3 adverts published in Haslemere magazines and Community Facebook and next week I have an interview with Haslemere Life magazine! So September is starting well too 😊
