As the days are now getting darker earlier here is a gentle reminder of what we offer all year round for the last 9 years.

🚧 Console Clinic Safe Zone 🚧

We are fully aware of the pressure of young kids and adults as the rising of crime..

Its always best to try avoiding these situations.. so if you dont feel safe or feel like your being followed/watched you or your child are welcome to come in and take a seat until you feel its safe to leave. We have charging leads so you can charge your device & you are welcome to ask a member of staff to ring a family member to let them know where you are and safe.

We are fully GDPR/ICO compliant, our premises is fully audio & video cctv recorded.

All staff are DBS checked.

Let your child know where we are and can use us for a safe place!

Id like to encourage more shops to offer their facilities as a safe haven, as one day this may just save a life.

Did you also know we have the Bleed Kits supporting the anti knife crime in support for The Liam Taylor Legacy - RIP Fish.

Please share 🙏🏼

🚨 BOTH CHARGING PORTS BROKEN, 11 PADS TORN FROM THE BOARD!

This Nintendo Switch 2 came into us with both charging ports damaged after a heavy impact.

The damage was far beyond simply replacing the USB-C ports, 11 individual solder pads had been ripped completely away from the motherboard. 😳

Our microsoldering team carried out a full microscopic board reconstruction, rebuilding the damaged connections before fitting two brand-new charging ports.

🔌 Both USB-C ports replaced
✅ Full testing completed

The result? Back up and running. 🎮

This is exactly why board-level repair matters. When pads and traces are torn from a motherboard, replacing the connector alone simply isn't enough.

Another Nintendo Switch 2 saved from the scrap pile. ♻️

🤝 GIVING BACK. BUILDING CONFIDENCE. CREATING OPPORTUNITIES.

Our CEO & Store Manager were invited by Barking & Dagenham Council to attend a fantastic careers event focused on supporting adults who are currently unemployed, helping them discover different career paths, build confidence and, most importantly, realise that there are opportunities out there for them.

And who knows… perhaps one day, one of the people we met could be the next member of the Console Clinic team. 👀

What an incredible event it was.

We met so many intelligent, inspiring and determined individuals, each with their own story, talents and ambitions. The host was absolutely fantastic, and the councillors and everyone involved in organising the event made it clear just how much they care about creating opportunities for people within the borough.

For us, this one felt particularly special.

📍 Barking & Dagenham has always been at the heart of Console Clinic.

It’s where our journey began, where we built relationships with our community and where so many of our customers have supported us throughout the years.

Today, we’re proud to be making an even bigger impact across Havering and beyond, but we will never forget where we came from.

We believe businesses have a responsibility to do more than simply open their doors and make money.

We should create opportunities. Inspire people. Teach skills. Build confidence. Support our communities.

Because sometimes, all someone needs is for one person to believe they can do it.

And if Console Clinic can be that person for even one individual, then attending events like this makes it all worthwhile. ❤️

A huge thank you to Barking & Dagenham Council, the councillors, organisers, host and everyone who took the time to speak with us.

The next generation of Console Clinic talent could be sitting in that room. 👀🔧

🧁💚 A little sweetness for a very important cause.

Today we were proud to donate some personalised cupcakes to support a Macmillan Coffee Morning and help raise awareness and vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Cancer affects so many people and families, and sometimes it’s the smallest acts of kindness that can make the biggest difference. Whether it’s donating, baking, buying a cake, sharing a post, or simply taking the time to have a coffee and a conversation, every little bit helps. ☕💚

Macmillan is there for people living with cancer, supporting them through some of the toughest moments of their lives. Events like these are a fantastic reminder of what can happen when a community comes together for something that truly matters.

We’re incredibly proud to play a small part. ❤️

Coffee. Cake. Community. Kindness.
Together, we can help make sure no one faces cancer alone. 💚

🔑 WHEN YOUR CAR KEY STOPS WORKING… IT MIGHT NOT NEED REPLACING.

Over the years, we’ve repaired 500+ keys and fobs, from 🚗 car keys and 🚤 boat keys to 🔐 Ghost Immobiliser keys, security gate fobs and everything in between.

If it has a circuit board, there’s a good chance we can repair it. 👨‍🔧🔬

Today’s patient? A Jaguar key that had stopped locking the car.

On inspection, we found evidence of a previous failed attempt to replace the SMD button. The soldering work had left behind flux residue and the pads needed some attention.

So we:
🔧 Removed the damaged button
🧼 Cleaned away the old flux residue
🔬 Cleaned and prepared the solder pads
🪛 Applied fresh solder
🔘 Fitted a brand-new SMD button
🧪 Tested the key

And just like that… the Jaguar was locking again. ✅

This is why we always say: DON’T BIN IT JUST BECAUSE A CIRCUIT BOARD HAS FAILED.

Sometimes the component costs pennies, the skill is knowing what has actually failed and how to repair it properly.
