Stung By Steel is a custom tattoo studio. A small, intimate shop with a welcoming and mellow vibe. Situated in the heart of Wallington, Brad strives to push tattooing right to the edge of the envelope.. doing away with the traditional flash and working on 'one off' custom designs to suit his clients. Warm, friendly and keeps the focus on the art.

We played with the design together in the studio for a while, then played with the size and location for the rest of the hour. This is usually how we do things to begin. For me, the smaller the tattoo the fussier the placement. It’s a real opportunity to be an artist

It is possible.

We often fall out of love with our previous art.

This glittery butterfly coverup took 1.5 hours and cost £120. There. Simple transparent numbers.

We spent the usual hour prior ensuring it was perfect, and this first hour is added to every tattoo no matter the size at no cost for the purposes of perfection. In this example, the challenge was to get the butterfly as small as we possibly could while still achieving the cover-up; even a bright Tattoo if too large can scream cover up.

Once small enough and angled correctly to flow with the body we were able to begin. The glittery style is a thing of wonder. It stays well and is so much fun to do.

Whenever dealing with a cover-up we ensure a short follow up session a few weeks later to make sure all our clever tricks worked and the result is clean beautiful and most importantly successful.
