Refugee Week (15–21 June 2026) celebrates the courage, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary. It reminds us that every person seeking safety carries strength, hope and a story that deserves to be heard.

At NW7Hub, we’re proud to stand alongside our refugee neighbours and to create spaces of welcome, dignity and belonging.

Together, we build a community where everyone can thrive.

Our volunteers give so much to our organisation and our community; without them, we simply wouldn’t be able to do what we do. From creating a warm and welcoming environment, running the foodbank, supporting our community allotment, running the library, supporting our weekly activities, and helping deliver our monthly community events — they are at the heart of everything. Thank you to each and every one of you for your time, commitment and heart.

As Volunteers’ Week comes to an end, we want to say thank you once again. Your dedication shapes everything we deliver, and we remain grateful for your contribution every single day — not just this week. We recognise it, we value it, and we celebrate it throughout the year.

We have been hosting UCL MSc students at our foodbank for a few years, supporting their research as they carry out surveys with our members to assess the dietary quality of our food parcels based on the supplies we receive. Their work helps us better understand nutritional needs and strengthens the support we provide to local families.

A huge thank you to Prof Davies at UCL for acknowledging our data and the hard work delivered by our dedicated foodbank volunteers and to our friends at Chipping Barnet Foodbank for sharing the photos.

This research also aligns with our ambition to increase the nutritional content of our parcels through fresh produce grown at our community allotment, where volunteers grow food specifically for the foodbank.

We were delighted to welcome Maryam from the Right2Food Campaign to the foodbank this week. The campaign amplifies the lived experiences of people who rely on foodbanks, turning their voices into national calls for change.

At a time when so many families are struggling, the Right2Food movement reminds us that access to nutritious, affordable food is not a luxury — it’s a basic right. Sharing real stories from our community helps push for the systemic change needed to end food insecurity for good.

We’re proud to play our part in this national effort and grateful to everyone who contributes to the fight for food justice.
