IN PARIS AGAIN, FOR THE FRST TIME,
I was there with you for the first time,
Wondering the streets along our side,
We turned street by street to left and right,
And found places into our hearts.
We went to the louvre and to Notre dame,
We had our moment at the Torre Eiffel,
From Montmartre to Sacre -Coeur,
We took the short cut to get there.
We stop at the Ille the la cite
At the corner of Pont Neuf
Enjoyed in the shade the view and the breeze of the summer day.
Your lovely birthday lunch with the Tower view
The Drinks night at le Marais
The unforgettable karaoke place singing “you raise me up”
Just made this trip the most fun of all, so far.
I am not a poet and I wish I could write,
So, I could tell everyone how amazing it was,
To be in Paris with you for the first time.

I Am Back
Is there anyone here who wonders where I've been?
Those who still follow my trail of words, per chance
That I poetically scattered yet ordered all the same
As if footprints left by feet once in dance

Do friends fear for my lengthy absence at all?
Or have they turned away to worry another day
Are my words long past enough to keep them close at hand
Even though I did not stay

I am here again if anyone cares although I'm not so sure
And my message is as always the same
My love for you is still full in bloom

Like the Phoenix I rise from the ashes
The toils of yesterday fade once more
Like the crests of the waves
Leave the anchor of its shore
I make the decision to accept
Then reflect

Like the Phoenix
I rise from the ashes

My path I carve
With hands of skill
Determined focused
with an iron will
Until the day
My heart is still

The challenge of darkness
May eclipse
My thoughts
Stealing positive words

Together we will win
In such unprecedented times we’ve been experiencing, the Phoenix is the symbol that comes to our thoughts. We need to reinvent ourselves, the world we live in. Be able to empathise and “walk a mile in someone else's shoes”. As the Phoenix, we need to rise from the ashes, because our old habits and concepts are no longer bringing positive outcomes. What have you been doing this days to reinvent yourself? Are you being the Phoenix in your life?
