Ealing Autumn Festival - a two week celebration of arts, heritage and culture that takes place in venues both familiar and unusual across the London Borough of Ealing. The first Ealing Autumn Festival took place in 2010 with Romance with Russia. In 2011 Genius of Hungary celebrated Franz Liszt and Delius and Dickens followed in 2012. The Festival has repeatedly attracted internationally acclaimed

artists of the highest calibre: Dmitri Alexeev, Julian Lloyd Webber, George Szirtes, Muszikás, Kees Wattjes, Voskresenije, Matthew Barley, Irving Finkel, Tony Palmer, David Osbon and the Bridge Quartet among them. At the same time it has established its place in the community, co-operating and collaborating with more than 30 different Ealing organisations to stage high quality events in children’s craft sessions, public action art, literature, rock opera, heritage and local history exhibitions, film, classical music, talks and guided walks.

2012 Festival won an award from the Delius Society for an outstanding contribution to the 150th anniversary Delius celebrations. Other recipients included BBC Radio 3 (Controller, Roger Wright), the BBC Proms, The British Library and Julian Lloyd Webber, who also played in the Festival. Time Out magazine put the Festival among its top 5 Critic’s Choice. Other national commentators have hailed it as “a fantastic festival” and “the enterprising Ealing Festival”. This year, in celebration of 450th anniversary of the birth of Galileo, the Festival is staging s new opera "Galileo" and over 20 more events inspired also by his father, Vincenzo, inventor of opera and part-time acoustics researcher, and his daughter, Virginia, lady of letters. Poetry competition for the first time too: "Constellations" ,with a new art commission of same title.
