For this week’s , we’re heading to Chile to visit Estudio del Sur - a world-class independent residential studio set in the heart of the central valley, just an hour from downtown Santiago.

Designed to make the recording and mixing process feel like a real creative experience, Estudio del Sur combines a peaceful countryside setting with a highly equipped, beautifully considered studio environment. The two-storey wooden building is naturally lit throughout, with the control and recording rooms on the ground floor and a relaxed lounge area upstairs overlooking the surrounding landscape.

At the centre of the studio is a 56-channel SSL XL 9000 K console, supported by Avid Pro Tools HDX, Apogee Symphony converters and a strong selection of analogue tape machines, microphones, monitors and outboard. The large live room, three isolation booths and wide range of backline make it a versatile space for tracking everything from full bands to more detailed sessions, while the residential house adds the space and calm needed for longer projects.

For this week’s , we’re heading to Crouch End to visit Park Chapel Studios — a characterful North London recording complex set within a striking mid-Victorian church, with a rich musical history and a modern, versatile setup.

Originally built in 1855, the building has taken many forms over the years, from school and library to artist studios, before becoming part of Dave Stewart’s creative hub in the 1980s — where “Sweet Dreams” was famously recorded. Today, Park Chapel Studios carries that legacy forward with Studio One, a large daylit live room with high ceilings and a distinctive acoustic, alongside a dedicated production suite in Studio Two.

With over 25 years of recording and mixing experience behind it, the studio is well suited to band tracking, overdubs, writing, production, podcasts and filming. The main control room is centred around an SSL Origin console, supported by a carefully chosen mix of modern and vintage outboard, while the building’s original chapel architecture gives the space its unmistakable character, scale and natural light.

For this week’s , we’re heading to Paris to visit Artistic Palace — a beautifully designed complex of 11 professional studios dedicated to music and audiovisual creation, just near Montmartre in the 18th arrondissement.

Bathed in natural daylight and built to support every stage of a project, the space brings together composition, recording, mixing, filming, showcases, playbacks and promotional events under one roof. Designed by Christian Malcurt, the acoustics are rich and controlled throughout, while the studio layout offers a flexible, high-end environment for both French and international artists.

Studio A is the flagship room, equipped with a legendary MCI 542 console and a setup suited to everything from pop and rock to rap and classical sessions. With Pro Tools HDX, analogue gear, a large lounge and kitchen, and room for medium-sized groups, strings or brass, it’s a space made for serious recording. Studio B, Studio C, Studio D and Studio F each offer their own daylight-filled control rooms and adaptable live spaces, while Studio E provides a fully equipped Atmos 9.1.4 mixing setup for immersive work across music and film.
