Say hello to our 2026 Directors Award recipients 🎉

Every year, the Directors Award supports directors making new storytelling theatre for children and families. Recipients get a week of exclusive rehearsal space at our Islington studio, plus funding to develop their idea.

The Snail and the Whale starts today and it is nearly SOLD OUT 🌊

We're hiring a Production Assistant! 📣

Tall Stories is a storytelling theatre company and registered charity, based in our Islington studio and touring shows like The Gruffalo across the UK and around the world.

We're looking for a Production Assistant to help our shows run smoothly, both in the studio and out on the road. If you love theatre, you're brilliantly organised, and you want to help create stories that broaden horizons, this one's for you.

The Gruffalo is now OPEN in the West End! 🎉

We had a terrific opening and press event this weekend 💜 Huge love to the whole Tall Stories team and cast, to Ravensburger for the brilliant games and puzzles for our guests, and to Dunns Bakery for the utterly delicious Gruffalo cakes.

A big thanks to Nimax Theatres theatres for being the London home of the deep dark wood for The Gruffalo’s 25th year on stage 🌳🎂
