We are seeking a dynamic Chair or Co-Chair to lead our Board of Trustees as we enter an exciting new phase of growth!

Working closely with our Executive team, you will provide strategic leadership and governance, helping us realise our vision of creating inspiring stories for children and families. As we develop our 2027–2030 strategy, we are looking for an imaginative leader to help strengthen our artistic ambition, community impact and long-term sustainability.

We're excited to share that The Gruffalo West End is part of Kids Week 2026 with !

One child goes free with every adult paying full price, and you can bring up to two more for half price. Songs, laughs and mischievous fun for everyone aged 3 and up and their grown-ups.

Performances run from Monday 20 July to Monday 31 August. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Tuesday 9 June, so set a reminder and keep your eyes peeled 👀

Throwing it back to one of our favourite projects for Elmer Day 2026 🌈🐘

Last year, communities across the UK came together to celebrate what makes us beautifully different with our Patchwork Story Adventure Project. From Islington to Huddersfield, Chester to Walthamstow, people of all ages shared their adventures through story squares that were sewn into a travelling patchwork quilt, growing bigger and more colourful with every stop.

St Lukes Community Centre, Blackheath Halls, Worcester Swan Theatre, Storyhouse Chester, Lawrence Batley Theatre and Soho Theatre Walthamstow... what a beautiful journey it was alongside the tour of The Elmer Adventure live on stage. 🧵

Fiona, our Creative Programmes Coordinator, tells us more about the paid week-long course for performers (18+) with our Artistic Director Toby Mitchell and Tall Stories Creatives.

Spend five days developing your skills in storytelling, direct address narration, movement, puppetry and singing, in a supportive, fun environment!

📍 Tall Stories Studio, Holloway Road
📅 Mon 29 June – Fri 3 July 2026, 10am–5pm
💸 Free to attend, with a £518 contribution (London Living Wage) for all participants.

We especially welcome applications from performers whose backgrounds are underrepresented in our previous cohorts - including people from the global majority, carers and those from low socio-economic backgrounds.
