K's Creative Space Creative workshops for children and mums Hello and welcome! Recent lecturing post: teaching English through arts at Lewisham and Southwark College.

I am a mum of three daughters, qualified ESOL teacher with the experience of working with primary school children and college students creatively. I was away for 3 year project in Poland where I set up an innovative way of teaching English through empiric way- by engaging pupil's senses ( the body has a kinetic memory and the information that has been processed by the body is proven to be remember

ed). Workshops were run from home so the children had a relaxed atmosphere, a small group, access to cooking, baking facilities and an open space layout which boosted the learning process. In our curriculum we were discovering the cultures of a given country by looking at Arts, Music, cuisine, Geography and Architecture to embrace cross-curriculum. Qualifications:

ESOL Teacher, University of Silesia, Poland

MA Bilingual Translation, University of Westminster

NVQ 2 Pre-school Setting

Qualified Teacher Status 1745610

DBS certificate renewed 21.12.2021

1st Aid for children- pending

It is my absolute pleasure and joy to be working with children:
I'm passionate about creativity, stimulating their minds, igniting curiosity, providing an inspiration, facilitate the discovery of the variety of techniques, enabling little individuals to go outside their comfort zones, trying something new and making new experiences through arts and crafts - which will hopefully become a part of who they are and help them to shape their personality/ identity. I'm a big advocate of a holistic approach when it comes to educating children. I believe that not only their soul needs to be nourished with art but also the body needs to be looked after by providing healthy/ nutrient dense, unprocessed food: I encourage no sugar, no gluten to keep those creative minds nurtured and to promote healthy habits. When it comes to stimulating their senses, I am diffusing doTerra essential oils to harmonise their emotions: Lavender to calm down, "Balance" to ground, citrus oils on a rainy day for an energy pick up, Lemon for concentration and "On Guard" during the cold and flue season to help to ward off those nasty germs! I love the way how the oils seem to have an instant benefit- by enjoying a beautiful aroma children respond to it naturally. If you would like to find out more information about the amazing therapeutic properties of the oils I'm happy to share it with you; how our family has been using the plant essences and natural solutions in our everyday life.

Christmas workshop Gingerbread houses were tricky to assemble but some 6 year olds managed to complete it without any help 👌. The recipe for a good icing is: 3 egg whites and 700g of icing sugar. Apart from puff pastry Christmas trees we also made dates stuffed with almonds and covered in a cardamom flavoured dark chocolate 😋Merry Christmas! 🎄🌲🎄🌲

Works inspired by Giuseppe Arcimboldo (1527-93) an Italian painter born in Milan. Firstly he was known for designing stained glass windows in local churches and then he went away to Austria where he lived for 25 years and organised lavished banquets for a Habsburg family. One of their sons was studying botany and was sourcing many different species of plants. Giuseppe having been exposed to the vast array of fruit and veg had an inspiration to start making portraits from botanicals. 🎨

This is the recent parent’s feedback:

„K’s creative Space are wonderful art classes run by Kinga who is an excellent art expert! Kinga’s passion for art and teaching and her dedication are beyond words! There is a different topic and technique to be learnt every week which makes these classes very interesting and special. Kinga’s classes are also very creative and fun and children get to take their artwork home each time.
Children get to learn about different world-famous artists every week and recreate their paintings while the classical music is playing in the background. Kinga provides excellent knowledge in a very safe, supportive learning environment at her home.
We feel very lucky to have found this class – thank you, Kinga!

Paul Cezanne’s exhibition @ Tate Modern. Feast to the eyes and soul- a great array of his works including the “ Bathers” series, Mount Victoria and endless still life featuring apples. Did you know that he actually painted 270 pictures of apples out of 400!? He is a definitively a “master of apples!”. He liked to use the same, simple and everyday life objects and mastered them by painting repetitively. He was very much of a loner- spending most of the time away in the mountains observing the nature and visiting his studio in Paris where his partner and a son Paul lived. My favourite picture is the one with a blue mug, a sugar bowl and pears- away from his usual colours: terracottas, blues and greens.

Belated post: Chinese New Year inspired class. The children ventured Chinese brushes and tried to copy just a few from 8 thousand Mandarin characters… and were sketching a tiger. There was a treat of fortune cookies too!
