More photos of the scented sculptures in Marie Antoinette Style, now open . The installation includes aromas that re-create the experience of Versailles, the cosmetics favoured by the Queen herself and her eventual prison cell. The four fragrances, which are informed and inspired by historical research, are presented in 3D printed busts, modelled after Felix Lecomte’s 1783 marble portrait of Marie Antoinette, which is also on display in the exhibition.

First look at Marie Antoinette Style which officially opens tomorrow!

As part of this era-straddling exhibition, I was invited by the brilliant to create an interactive scent installation that pays olfactory tribute to the seminal chapters of Marie Antoinette’s life.

The series of 3D scented busts will softly disperse the aromas, that range from a masquerade ball at Versailles to her eventual prison cell. Massive thanks to the entire V&A exhibitions team as well as my wonderful creative partners &

Home to the world’s largest public collection of artworks by LS Lowry, has unveiled a new aromatic artwork that will allow visitors to connect with the works of one of Britain’s best-loved 20th-century artists in a whole new way. Designed by the smell encapsulates the industrial atmosphere of an early 20th century cityscape - the smell of the horses and carts, wet wool and rain-soaked brickwork, with an air of smokiness, suggestive of the workers returning from a hard days work at a mill. This new scent installation will act as a way of engaging visitors in a fun, innovative way, as well as enabling those who are visually impaired or blind to experience the paintings in the LS Lowry collection.
