I'm Jen, I started Yard Life in memory of my dad, Stephen Lloyd, who passed away at 46 after a long and very difficult battle with multiple sclerosis. Yard Life is run by me and a few awesome friends and we all do it for free (including all the artists!) for the love of music, festivals & to raise money & awareness for MS Research, a charity that is trying to help other families not go through the heartache that we did. I started Yard Life with the crazy idea of starting my own festival, with zero experience and zero financial backing. There has been so much blood, sweat and a hell of a lot of tears going into Yard Life over the years, but with so much hard work and help from an incredible bunch of friends, musicians and artists we made Yard Life happen in 2014. We raised loads of money and, even more importantly in a way, awareness of a disease that strikes people in their prime - my dad was diagnosed at the age I am now, 33. We somehow did it and we're doing it again! Next Yard Life is happening on 28th April 2018. It's gonna be even better and we hope to inspire people even in the smallest way, that you can literally do anything you put your mind to. Anything and everything is possible.
