Dear All
I feel that as the promoter I have to say something to respond to the ridiculous
Allegations made by LMHR and one or two persistent bloggers. In the 20 odd years that I have been promoting, I have never organised events for Artists and bands that are discriminatory – racist – N**i or any other kind of bigotry. Some of the hundreds of bands I have promoted over the last decades have been Very provocative in various ways – but then good art has often been both provocative and misunderstood. None of the bands here, as many of you know, have either a political agenda or in any way promote hate of any kind. Any such allegation to the contrary are utterly refuted. The bands are here for one reason and so are the audience and that is because we love this kind of music & expression and that’s all. It has been a struggle during the last month to defend ourselves against the blatant misrepresentation and lies that have been hurled against both the bands – promote
However thanks to all the wonderful support we have had worldwide from people of all nations and of diverse racial origin - we are here. I also have to make it very clear that Slimelight Mak & Detty have given total support
To me and all the artists involved . I can’t tell you how hard Mak has worked to
enable freedom of art and music to be able to continue in this well established and loved venue. All of us here are totally determined to carry on with our work and will continue to bring you music of diversity and of a thought provoking nature.I hope that you all will have an enjoyable evening and I hope to see you at one of our future events.
