LAST BUT NOT LEAST:
The beauty and brains behind Growing Pains - Fathima Abdullah. 🫶🏽

Fathima Abdullah is a British Bangladeshi Muslim writer based in East London. Her writing explores the experiences of third generation South Asian Muslims navigating life in a diaspora delving into themes of immigration, religion and community.
“Growing Pains” is her debut play developed as part of the 2024/2025 Soho Theatre Writer’s Lab.

OUR LEADING LADY: NEETIKA KNIGHT🫶🏽

Neetika Knight is an actor, voice-over artist and intimacy co-ordinator from London
with South Indian heritage. She played Julia in 1984 (Hackney Town Hall), the
Whatson Stage winner for best Immersive Experience. Other work in Theatre
include: Doomers (Rose Lipman Building), Short Bones (Theatre 503) and Desert
Poet (Cockpit Theatre). She has also had lead roles in short films: When the Sun
Goes Down, Ghost Train and Annie Shared Her Location. Neetika graduated from
Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

Hope Theatre is situated inside the Hope & Anchor pub on the corner of Upper Street and Islington Park Street – 207 Upper Street, Islington, London N1 1RL.

TRANSPORT: The nearest station is Highbury & Islington (Victoria Line, Overground and First Capital Connect) and Angel (Northern Line). The area is well served by buses and the routes 4, 19, 30 and 43 all run past the venue. The nearest bus stop is Islington Town Hall.

Next up is our one & only Patsy Prince, aka mamma Amina🫶🏽

Patsy trained at RADA and KCL. Film includes: God is Dead, The Bad Nun, Mummy Reborn and Culture Shock. TV includes: The Lady Killers (Netflix) and Sold (ITV1). Theatre includes: The Moat (Network Theatre), Misfits (Space Theatre - nominated at The Asian Media Awards) and Voices from September 11th (Old Vic). Patsy also co-hosted ‘Open’, a podcast on The Women’s Radio Station.

Next up we have our very own, Alicia Fernandes as Sumiya 🫶🏽

Alicia is the founder of Nalini, and has such a heart for telling stories from underrepresented backgrounds. She’s currently training with Lawrence Carmichael in his Meisner 2 class. Precious acting credits include: *Rafta, Rafta*(Arts Theatre), *Kathy and Stella Solve a Murder* (Ambassadors Theatre), *The Last Blue Hour* (NFTS), and the award-winning, festival-selected short film *Voiceless*.
