🎶 Southgate Sessions: A10 Strings & Tom Hill 🎶

Join us at Christ Church Southgate on Sunday 27 September at 3.30pm for a wonderful afternoon of live music — and it’s completely free! Everyone is welcome.

We’re delighted to welcome the A10 Strings, an orchestra that began over 20 years ago as a “Starts-Again” group for people returning to instruments they had learnt at school, alongside adults discovering music for the first time. Today, the orchestra brings together experienced and newer players, with a wonderfully varied repertoire of classical favourites and fun pieces.

They’ll be joined by Tom Hill on piano, a London-based pianist who has played since the age of six. Tom studied at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and the University of Nottingham, and developed a particular passion for jazz piano during his studies.

🎻 The programme includes:
• Palladio — Karl Jenkins
• Oboe Concerto in D minor — Alessandro Marcello, featuring Catherine Wild
• Eclogue for Piano & Strings — Gerald Finzi, featuring Tom Hill
• Sunrise (Daybreak) — Nicolai Kapustin, featuring Tom Hill
• Italiana — Ottorino Respighi
• The Typewriter — Leroy Anderson, featuring Alex Hill
• Blue-Fire Fiddler — Soon Hee Newbold
