Now open online: Constellations✨💫

Bringing together three generations of the Buraimoh family, Constellations explores how artistic knowledge is passed down, reshaped and given new life. Across painting and mixed media, Lanre, Kayode and Jimoh Buraimoh each draw on Yoruba mythology, cultural heritage and personal experience to create distinct approaches to mark-making.

Am sharing the details of a very special visit yesterday for the last day of the celebrated postwar British artist, Lynn Chadwick's superb exhibition at Houghton Hall in Norfolk. Curated by Pangolin London, the exhibition comprises 30 works including unseen and rarely exhibited pieces as well as his best-known sculptures.

Constructed in the 1720's for Britain's first Prime Minister, Sir Robert Walpole, this Palladian house is now home to David Cholmondeley, the 7th Marquis of Cholmomdeley and his wife Rose Hanbury.

Each year since 2015 they have held an exhibition of major contemporary artists and sculptures and this year was no different.

The family also have a wonderful selection of permanent artworks on display in the house and gardens (together with a collection of toy soldiers).

Am already looking forward to returning next year !

Yesterday I visited Frida: The Making of an Icon at Tate Modern in London.🌼🌼🌼

A fascinating journey through Frida Kahlo’s art, life and enduring legacy—revealing not only the artist behind the iconic self-portraits, but also the many ways her identity and image have continued to inspire generations.

Powerful and intimate; the exhibition is open until January 3rd, 2027, do go!🌼

Part of our current exhibition, The Places We Carry, Paul Wadsworth’s Pink Mountain will be on view from Thursday at British Art Fair.🌼🌼🌼

Come and find us at Booth 7, Spotlight: Contemporary, at Saatchi Gallery. To reserve your complimentary ticket, DM us or email [email protected].

Rooted in the hills of Rajasthan, Pink Mountain recalls the landscape beyond Pushkar: pink mountains, an orange temple surrounded by yellow sand, and patterns inspired by the Indian textiles of the region.

Figures gradually emerge from the paint across the centre and right of the composition. As Wadsworth explains: “I like the figures to find their own way into paintings. It’s a process of waiting and looking, and gradually they show themselves.”
