Tomorrow eve on Balamii you can catch myself and on takeover duties for the lovely and talented on their show We Were On A Breakbeat, which celebrates female, nb and LGBTQ+ talent 😎 Tune in 11pm-1am for serious bizniz

For the first hour, Rema brings a bag full of high energy, high serotonin funky, baile and afro to power you through the week. DaiSu takes the reins for the second hour with a mix of her usual heavy 2-step and big fat bassline 😤

Rema Mukena is a radio producer, journalist, dj extraordinaire and everything in between. Her talent has no limits and neither does her DJ sets. Rema is on an upwards trajectory and her music flavour is centred around baile funk, percussive sounds, grime, R&B, afro house, UK funky and more. Her sets know no bounds and are always playful. Being born and bred in London, but having Congolese heritage means that her music is always a melting pot of genres. She has created shows for Reprezent, SWU FM, Noods Radio.She recently supported Sean Paul at Lloyds Amphitheatre, performed at Ashton Gate Stadium and will be hosting at Festival Forwards. Rema is one to watch.

NBHD London (short for neighbourhood) is a not-for-profit collaborative raising money for food banks in London through music events with meaning. Born in Bristol, NBHD has already put a stamp on the nightlife scene with emerging acts like Amaliah and A for Alpha at the forefront of their repertoire. In total raising over £4000 for homeless charities

Who would have thought that going for a dance could make such a big impact?

Now, NBHD are hosting their first London event LDN EP #1 on 15.07.23. Raising money for Hackney Food Bank. The event is at Rolling Stock in the heart of Old Street.
