CALLING ALL LONDON BASED Q***R PERFORMERS:
and are looking for 2 performers to take part in a project. This project will be running throughout the spring/early summer and will consist of three ‘parts’: Creation, Exhibition, Performance.
Cabaret, Drag or performance art skills may be useful, but not necessary.
We are particularly interested in performers from the trans community and/or the global majority. DM us with questions or register interest.
This callout will initially end on 16/01/2024, we may extend it if it feels necessary.
TIME/COMMITMENTS:
Unfortunately we currently cannot offer pay for the rehearsal/creation period and do not know how much we will be able to offer for the performance itself as this depends on the venue and tickets. We may be applying for some funded opportunities with this, but there is no guarantee.
We ask that the performers be available for 4 full days minimum (6/7 hour days) throughout the project and the timetable will be made in collaboration with the performers to work to their availability.
MORE INFO:
The project will include curating an artistic portrait in relation to a theme alongside an intereative performance installation. The group will also work on a short performance (roughly 30-45 mins) that will consist of ensemble elements, storytelling and will be interdisciplinary. The theme will be finalised by the group based on responses to themes already curated by Hunter and Isla.
Accessibility:
The theatre we currently may be working with sadly are not wheelchair accessible to their studio or theatre. Being a currently unfunded project we have very limited choice in terms of where we can work. We will endeavour to make any future projects in accessible venues when we have the funding or availability of space offered to do this.
We will discuss access needs with any people involved within the project and will make any adjustments and meet any access needs we can.
