🎸 David Bowie – Ziggy Stardust

⚡️The riff is a classic! It helps develop alternate picking, power chord accuracy, string muting, timing, and smooth position changes while building confidence playing classic rock. An infamous use of CAGED chord shapes.

🔺Released in 1972, Ziggy Stardust is one of the standout tracks from David Bowie’s landmark album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. The album helped define the glam rock movement, combining unforgettable songs, theatrical storytelling and iconic guitar work that continues to influence musicians more than 50 years later.

🔺If you’d like to learn songs like this, improve your technique, or work towards grades and performances, come and join us at or book a 1-1 private lesson. We teach musical theatre, guitar, singing, ukulele, drums and more for all ages and abilities.
