Jazz on the Lawn at Fulham Palace, 17/18 July - Four Weeks from Today!
Summer is here! Gorgeous weather, the air fragrant with flowers in bloom, long lazy evenings.
Join us for two great nights of music on the lawns of Fulham Palace! An elegant Grade 1 listed building set within a 13-acre botanic garden, Fulham Palace was the summer residence of the Bishop of London from 704AD to 1973 (over 1,300 years). Now a community garden, museum and event space, it's the perfect spot.
Here's what we have lined up for you:
Friday 17 July: The Coalminers
With their dedication to what they to refer to as “Swamp Soul” this brilliant band, with their unique mixture of New Orleans Groove and Funk, bring the rhythm and soul of the deep south (that's Louisiana, not Brighton...) alive. Featuring singers Tommy Hare and Amy Bird and with the addition of a 4-piece horn section, this highly impressive ensemble are guaranteed to raise the roof!
Saturday 18 July: The 606 Club All-Stars
Previewing the 606 Club’s 50th Anniversary later this year, welcome the amazing “606 All Stars”! Featuring three world class vocalists - Natalie Duncan, Jo Harrop, Polly Gibbons - three internationally recognised horn players - Brandon Allen, Alec Harper, Denys Baptiste - and a rhythm section to die for, this promises to be a phenomenal night of jazz to remember.
The Club will be hosting a full bar and we'll also have food available for sale. But as ever, you are also welcome to bring your own libations, picnics etc.
These shows will go on rain or shine.
