Introducing Sutherland Dance Company, a new dance company founded by choreographer Brandon Sutherland. Founded in 2022, our company is dedicated to creating inclusive, socially conscious art that reflects and responds to the world we live in, focusing on dance theatre, urban and contemporary dance. Our company is dedicated to creating innovative, socially conscious works that push the boundaries of dance.
At Sutherland, we believe that dance has the power to unite and inspire people from all backgrounds. We draw inspiration from a wide range of sources, including social issues, personal experiences, and the urban environments that surround us. Our works are designed to challenge and engage audiences, and to explore the depths of human emotion and experience.
Central to our artistic vision is a commitment to inclusivity. We believe that dance should be accessible to all, regardless of race, gender, ability, or socioeconomic status. Our performers and collaborators come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique perspectives to our works, creating a space for dialogue and understanding.
