Introducing ! The joyous and honey voiced Joe plays Jack - who we meet in 1853 as a troubled, haunted (and haunting) soldier the night before he sets off to the front!
Joe says βIt's fascinating working on this project because it touches so many stories which have been overlooked until now - the experience of minorities in 19th century rural Britain, the experience of working class soldiers in the British army during the colonial period, the existence and experience of q***r people in the 19th century - every piece of this script is combating erasure and brings these stories to life. The most exciting thing about working on this production is working with all these amazing artists who we're all learning from every day we work with each other - it's been a fantastic process and I can't wait to bring it to life at the Cockpit!β
