I don’t know about you but during summer I am plagued with all sorts of anxieties around having to wear less clothes, pressure to be having the best time and not being able to be as productive as I’d like to be.

Painting cats relaxing in their gardens serves as a timely reminder of how to do summer and it doesn’t involve a perfectly toned body or a glamorous holiday, just some shade to doze in and zero pressure.

It can be lonely beavering away in my spare bedroom surrounded by watercolours but feedback like this reminds me of why I do it.

A pet portrait is a lovely thing to have and it can also be a profound part of the healing process when you lose a beloved animal. Immortalising your creature on paper and having them on your wall is the perfect way to honour their life and joyfully keep their memory alive.

Does anyone else find the summer juggle stressful and brings out all sorts of summer FOMO?

I am so grateful to be busy but I am feeling a bit like a bacon frazzle and we are only in week 2.
