Some seasons deserve more than a line in a fixture list.
This portrait was commissioned by a proud dad to celebrate his son’s 1XV season at Rugby School. A reminder of the hard yards, the muddy afternoons, the friendships forged, and those moments when instinct takes over and the ball somehow sticks.
I love creating pieces like this because they’re about more than sport. They’re about a chapter of life that passes far too quickly. Capturing the commitment, the character and the memories before they become stories that begin with, “Do you remember when…”
Congratulations on a fantastic season. It was a privilege to help preserve a small part of that journey.
Oh, and if you’ve managed to get this far, for a bonus point, can anyone tell from the building behind where this away fixture was being played?
