Leighton House is the former home of the Victorian artist Frederic, Lord Leighton (1830-1896). The highlight of any visit is the spectacular Arab Hall and its striking collection of Syrian tiles from 16th and 17th centuries. Sambourne House is the former home of Victorian illustrator Linley Sambourne (1844-1910) and his family. The extravagant and eclectic interiors remain practically intact. It s
