"Angel of the Native Land" 39x60 cm

The work is created in a mixed technique using watercolor, gouache, and gold acrylic on watercolor cardboard.

Stylistically, it is a vivid example of contemporary modernism, specifically the Vienna Secession style that dominated Western Europe at the beginning of the last century.

The painting was created in February 2022, during the most dramatic and challenging times of Kyiv's siege by Russian occupiers.

Fortunately, the rustle of wings in the colors of the Ukrainian flag also contributed to the successful defense of the native city.
