I can’t help it. I love sequins too 🎣✨
For this kingfisher, I blended 3 different shades of blue, turquoise, and green sequins, trying to capture the colours of the bird as closely as possible.
And yes… I added a few opal sequins on the other wing for those little sparks of light kingfishers seem to carry with them ✨
A lot of embroidery is simply this: trying, adjusting, changing your mind, and trying again.
One stitch, one purl, one sequin at a time.

Para este martÃn pescador combiné 3 tonos diferentes de lentejuelas azules, turquesa y verdes, intentando capturar los colores del ave lo más fielmente posible.
Y sÃ… también agregué algunas lentejuelas opal en la otra ala para esos pequeños destellos de luz que los martines pescadores parecen llevar consigo ✨
Gran parte del bordado es simplemente esto: probar, ajustar, cambiar de idea y volver a intentarlo.
Una puntada, un canutillo y una lentejuela a la vez.
