🗨 📚 Book story :

Let's talk about how this bear was born from my very active imagination 😂

Today I wanted to show you a bit more about the character design of this specific character.

Did you know that the bear was not meant to be here in the first place? I initially had a crocodile but it was a bit of MEH... rather than a big YES.

So after thinking for a while, I had this image of winter dark nights and I wanted a contrast with the snow white. I was thinking something polar yet warm, which was added by some colors with Northern lights!

When my illustrator gave me the character design, I chose the one on the left, with the yellow scarf in the middle!
Have you ever seen a polar bear wearing a scarf? 🥸

It just made sense to have this step as the final encounter Martin had in his ✨️ adventure and I just love how each character helped Martin in their own way. With their own possibilities.

The bear gave him the final helping paw, the final "coup de patte" he needed to find his way back 🥲🧡

It's been a while here!

Have you recognized our cheeky Martin Avril digging "je ne sais quoi" (I don't know what) in his magic suitcase ?

I love this encounter with The Bear, who seems like a paternal and protective figure to Martin, waiting patiently to hear about what he has to say or show!

The Bear comes toward the end of the book and is a part of a very key moment, helping Martin to reach something close to his heart.

I love how characters have bonded with each other to help Martin in a moment where he needed it the most.

How something little can change the course of someone's day or adventure. 🧡

That's the message in our book.

Helping each other when we can, friendship, sharing and generosity. 👭🧑‍🤝‍🧑👫👬

✨️Magic music alert! ✨️

We are looking forward to have (Diego Laverde Rojas) for our spooky (but not too spooky) show tomorrow (27/10) at .stores and for our upcoming shows in the next couple of months.

First time I ever saw a latin harp was with Diego who treated us with Colombian music and I am so glad children are able to witness the talent of so many incredible musicians.

Music is a universal language, music is unity.
I have always been moved by how people bond through music and I am grateful it came in a moment when I needed it the most.

Irish week it is! 🍀

With the wonderful who will treat us with some tap dance but not only, she will also be playing the fiddle and will sing for us!

I can tell, children are usually mesmerized by tap dance and sometimes, they even start mimicking it which I always love to see 💕

We will sing a famous lullaby in Ireland with some of Martin's songs and your favorite nursery rhymes/comptines. 💫

Wow wow what's happening this week?

It's French music week! 🇫🇷

And that means...accordion! 🎵

Meet Joe Hardy, actor, singer & musician who plays French music for us throughout our shows this week.

We just love French week,
we can even picture ourselves in Montmartre, Paris with this beautiful sound.

I am so happy that children get to explore sounds, rythmns, melodies & songs from around the world with our musical program!

🎵 Introducing one of our latest addition to the show:

Monsieur Kostas Glynos playing the Kanun.

The kanun, also referred to as qanun, is a type of stringed musical instrument that holds an important place in traditional Middle Eastern music.

It is truly magical and we've been lucky enough to have Kostas twice on the show who made us travel really far with his enchanting music.

Children know him as "Kostas Sea" and you will soon find out why!
He will be with us the week of the 18/09 on both my public and private classes.
