So proud to announce our director!

Cameron Moreton (he/him/his) is a director and stage manager from Wokingham in Berkshire. He is the Artistic Director of C More Productions, who are working in association with Theatre Zima on this exciting European premiere of alex getting better!

Cameron is currently working as a Theatre Technician for South Hill Park Arts Centre in Bracknell, and will be moving on to freelance stage management and directing work from April. His goal is to have a detailed understanding of all aspects of theatre, in order to produce and direct thought-provoking, streamlined and collaborative work.

Training: BA Theatre Production - Guildford School of Acting

Directing credits include: Chatroom (Director, Online Production, 2021), Oklahoma! (AD, GSA, 2020) & Bring It On: The Musical (AD, University of Surrey MTSOC, 2019)

Over the next few months, as we lead up to alex getting better, we’ll be introducing you to the fantastic cast and creatives that make up this production.

First up is our incredible playwright.

Audrey Lang (she/her/hers) is a playwright born, raised, and based in New York City. Her short plays Sierra Nevada and who's mom and who's mama have been performed at London venues including Theatre503, New Wimbledon Theatre, and Chapel Playhouse. Audrey's full-length plays include You Have To Promise (Pride Plays 2020; finalist, Judith Royer Excellence in Playwriting Award), Birdie and Cait and the Book of Life (developed in residence with Original Idiots and The Workshop Theater), alex getting better, Balancé, Lily Ineffable (currently in development with Jewish Plays Project), Karate Girls Are The Toughest, and Dear Anna (MCC Theater FreshPlay Festival 2016). She is a 2022 Resident Artist with First Kiss Theatre, and has work published in two 2021 Smith & Kraus anthologies, as well as the online magazine Le****ns are Miracles. She is an alumna of the MCC Theater Youth Company Playwriting Lab and SPACE on Ryder Farm, and a proud member of Ring of Keys and the Dramatists Guild.
