PR Artists is delighted to welcome the Japanese-American violinist Mayumi Kanagawa its roster for worldwide general management.

Prizewinner at the 2019 Tchaikovsky Competition and 2018 Long-Thibaud Crespin competition as well as First Prize winner of the Princess Astrid, Jascha Heifetz, and Irvin Klein competitions, Mayumi is establishing herself as a versatile and refined soloist and chamber musician.

Notable orchestral collaborations include in Europe with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Helsinki Symphony Orchestra, Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Konzerthaus Orchester Berlin, Orchestra National de Belgique, Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, and in Japan with the Kyoto Symphony Orchestra, Nagoya Philharmonic, NHK Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra with conductors including Thomas Dausgaard, Sylvain Cambreling, Alexander Shelley, Yoel Levi, Andrew Litton, Tadaaki Otaka and Sebastian Weigle.

As a chamber musician Mayumi has appeared at renowned festivals including Aspen, Verbier, Mecklenburg Vorpommern and Heidelberger with artists such as Giuseppe Guarerra, Yu Kosuge, Ben Goldscheider, Anna Ostendorf and the Lazarus String Quartet bringing her to Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Luxembourg and Japan.

On 23 March Rebecca Tong makes her debut with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, conducting a daring programme 'A Celebration of Women', featuring music by Clarice Assad, Florence Price, Chen Yi, Vivian Fung, Eunike Tanzil and Gabriela Ortiz. Florence Price's Violin Concerto No 1 will be performed by Melissa White.

After the success of Andrew Von Oeyen's recital at the Slovak Philharmonic Small Hall on Sunday, he will now join the Slovak Philharmonic and conductor Andrey Boreyko for two concerts to play George Gershwin's Piano Concerto in F major. The concerts will take place on the 17th and 18th February, in the Concert Hall of the Slovak Philharmonic.

Clark Rundell returns to America to conduct Esperanza Spalding and Wayne Shorter's new opera Iphigenia. There will be one performance at The University of California's Zellerbach Hall on the 12th of February and two shows at The Broad Stage, Santa Monica on the 18th and 19th of February.

Garrett Keast and his orchestra, the Berlin Academy of American Music, had their sold-out debut concert on Saturday 5th of February. The concert took place at the Elbphilharmonie and included works by Caroline Shaw and Igor Strawinsky.
