Saveurs de Lujuria was born from flavour, emotion, and memories.
Our story did not begin in a pastry kitchen or a laboratory. It began with a little girl learning how to prepare Turkish coffee in a traditional cezve at her teacher Mrs. Mihai’s home. It began with simple homemade desserts, patience, care, and the joy of creating something with heart. A fascination was born there, one that would accompany her throughout life.
Years later, that fascination became a constant pursuit of the perfect flavour.
Ferda is the one who imagines, reconstructs, and explains. She preserves flavours in her memory, studies them, deconstructs them, and rebuilds them until they become exactly as she envisioned. Her demanding nature is not always easy to follow, yet it has become one of the defining ingredients of Saveurs de Lujuria. In our world, “good enough” has never been enough.
Lucian is the one who transforms those ideas into reality. If Ferda dreams the flavours, Lucian gives them form. If she seeks perfection, he brings balance. For more than 25 years, we have continued to build each creation together as a team.
We often joke that Lucian embodies the duality between absolute goodness and the small touch of mischief required to put up with me in my endless pursuit of perfection.
Those who know us are probably smiling already.
I continue to search for perfection, and he continues to walk beside me on this journey.
Our journey has not always been easy. There have been challenges, disappointments, obstacles, and moments when our work was put to the test. There have also been people who believed in us from the very beginning, offering opportunities, encouragement, and support when we needed it most. To all of them, we remain deeply grateful.
Over the years, we have learned that a dessert can be much more than a dessert. It can bring back the taste of childhood, awaken a forgotten emotion, and transform an ordinary moment into a lasting memory.
Perhaps that is why many of our creations begin with memories. With the desire to recreate flavours that have accompanied us throughout life and give them a new expression while preserving the emotion that made them special.
