I’m pleased to be part of Art On Our Doorstep:
Croydon’s Contemporary Art Fair, taking place from
12–14 June in the Whitgift Centre with
Culture Croydon.

Bringing together 29 artists with a Croydon
connection, the fair offers a diverse display of
Croydon’s current visual arts community.

I’ll be presenting paintings, prints, cards and photographs
And… for £5, I’ll write you a three-line dyslexic poem on the spot!

Alongside the main exhibition, the programme
includes interactive installations, the unveiling of the
Croydon Masterpiece, alongside an open studios and
artist-led workshops with Turf Projects.

The art fair is part of The National Gallery: Art On
Your Doorstep programme, which has seen 30 full-
scale reproductions from the national collection
installed across the area February to July 2026.

Art On Our Doorstep runs on 12 June (2–6pm) and
13–14 June (11am–5pm).

How do you think paintings happen?

Well, I sketch a lot and each of my paintings begins its life in one of my many sketchbooks. Some are larger, some small like this one. Some sketches earn their place in exhibitions before they even become paintings. Like this little cheeky rebellious drawing of mine… of a woman giving birth to flowers. It will soon be on its way to New York City.

When you see it, how does it make you feel? It may be small but in art size doesn’t really matter very much. It’s an actually much more than cheeky isn’t it? It’s a complex and powerful theme which anyone could experience differently. How do you experience it? Want to see it in person? It’s still in the UK so you can.

From Friday 12 – Sunday 14 June 2026, I’m delighted to be exhibiting as part of:

Art On Our Doorstep, Croydon’s Contemporary Art Fair
​at the Whitgift Centre with Culture Croydon.

Bringing together 29 artists with a Croydon connection, the fair celebrates the richness and diversity of Croydon’s contemporary visual arts scene.

I’ll be showing:
