@kunstraumlondon is putting on a line-up of amazing DJs for @wxstreetparty this year on Saturday 13th July from 1-6pm Featuring DJs @nath__eps @knownasdibs and @demig0sh Whitecross Street Party is truly one of London’s most unique events! Mixing street arts, communities, performance, stalls and more, we take over Whitecross Street in Islington, filling it with good vibes and creativity for all, for 2 days only. We are grateful to our amazing partners, all the artists, and of course the YMCA London City and North and Islington Council for hosting and sponsoring.

This year Kunstraum’s film production team is stepping into new territory, first up with a new series of films around some of the emerging brands and designers we love! We co-produced this film with @omoautemartis by @sonsofcraft around their collaboration with @glidesoles “On our journey to a more sustainable supply chain in fashion we met Glide Soles who’s ambitions are similar to ours. This is our story and ambitions. My first time performing in darija in front of a crowd. I really cherish this moment, in all its imperfections and am incredibly humbled to be able to share this with you. 🎸 Kunstraum Productions does videography of live music! 🎥 Video by Leon Dee and Thomas Cuckle ✨ On June 23rd, on the opening night of @shubbakfestival @thesonicagent celebrated a unique coming together of diverse musics and sounds from Palestine, Lebanon and Tunisia. The night featured the performance: @hayazaatry @jameel008 & Nizar Matar performing the debut album “Rahawan “ @badiaa_bouhrizi & @metttani performing the collated works finally released on Badiaa Bouhrizi’s debut album Kahrumusiqa. The carefully crafted sounds from swana by @samkaramdj that made us all move! A borderless transmission was provided by Grant and @gravemere_ from @sound_camp over the airwaves of different continents @radioalhara @resonanceextra @wavefarmradio all hosted within the warm atmosphere of @servantjazzquarters and their lovely community. A massive thank you once again to every soul that showed up, tuned in and contributed to the making of a night from our lives. Tomorrow night 27th January 7pm we’re hosting a film sceening night at @kunstraumlondon to show the 2021 Ancestral Futures Libation Ceremony taking the audience through a musical traditional libation ceremony. This clip is Sekuru Makamanzi performing Muroro @sekuru.africa from Act 1: Elders Blessing RSVP : [email protected] Libation is a ritual pouring of a liquid, or grain such as rice, as an offering to a deity or spirit, or in memory of the dead. It was common in many religions of antiquity and continues to be offered in many modern day/contemporary cultures. We’re also hosting a creative exchange for creatives where creatives can bring any equipment they no longer are using to be distributed to creatives in Kenya, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Botswana - you can drop of equipment at the screening.
