This new four-player co-op simulator might be the most terrifying game ever made if you hate tight spaces.
Cave Expedition recreates both dry and underwater caving, forcing you to squeeze through tiny restrictions, descend enormous vertical drops and explore completely uncharted chambers.
🧗 You’ll need to coordinate ropes, anchors and specialist climbing equipment to safely descend deeper underground. One badly planned route could leave the entire group unable to return to the surface.
🤿 Some passages are completely flooded, requiring scuba equipment to continue. You’ll need to navigate underwater tunnels without losing your direction or becoming separated from the group.
🪨 Blocked routes can be cleared using drills, shovels and winches, potentially revealing new passages through the cave system.
🎒 Preparation happens before every expedition. You can upgrade helmets, headlamps, ropes, clothing for different temperatures, breathing equipment and the tools needed for each specific descent.
🤝 The cave systems can be explored alone or with up to three friends. Communication becomes essential when rigging vertical sections, choosing safe routes and helping everybody through difficult restrictions.
📷 The game is being developed by a team of real-life cavers. Its textures and sounds are captured during genuine expeditions inside caves around the world, with the aim of making every descent feel as realistic as possible.
Developed by Moonmilk Games, Cave Expedition is coming to PC, with its release date still to be announced.
