Dublin, Tuesday 4th August 2026.

After the burial, they did what people do. They went to Vicar Street and played.

The evening had its share of moments. Eddie Vedder, who has never been one for half-measures, stepped up to sing Keep On Rockin' in the Free World. He was joined by Liam Ó Maonlaí, Jake Clemons, Mundy, the Frames, Declan O'Rourke, Imelda May, Graham Hopkins, Markéta Irglová, Bronagh Gallagher .. A gathering of people who had, at some point, found themselves in Glen's orbit and never quite left it.

It is a powerful communal performance, a fitting celebration of Glen Hansard's extraordinary life, music and the friendships he inspired.

Rest easy, Glen. You're missed already. May your gentle spirit find its peace.
