Did you know the Oxo Tower has been an iconic London landmark since the 1930s? ✨

What began as an ingenious piece of advertising became one of London's most recognisable landmarks, with the famous OXO lettering cleverly built into the tower's windows and proudly overlooking the Thames.

When the building became derelict by the 1970s, its future looked uncertain. But rather than being lost to history, it was boldly reimagined and brought back to life through a major redevelopment by Coin Street that restored its place on the South Bank.

Today, Oxo Tower Wharf is a thriving home for independent designer-makers, artists, retailers, and restaurants, proving how great spaces can evolve while celebrating their heritage. It's a place where creativity is visible, craftsmanship is valued, and everyone is invited to be part of the story. ❤️

Waves of Emotion | 15 - 26 July in Oxo Gallery ❌

'Waves of Emotion' is a major solo exhibition by acclaimed London-based artist Michele Franklin Art. Bringing together painting, drawing, sculpture, music, and personal storytelling, the exhibition is an immersive exploration of female identity and the emotional landscapes of womanhood.

Inspired by the shifting rhythms of water and the ebb and flow of emotional states, Franklin’s new body of work reflects the turbulence, resilience, and quiet strength of lived experience. The exhibition explores complex emotional roles - from mother and partner to muse - navigating themes of inclusion, rejection, love, and loss.

More than a traditional exhibition, 'Waves of Emotion' is conceived as a multi-sensory experience. Visitors are invited into Franklin’s creative process through filmed interviews, live music, and artist-led talks, offering a rare insight into the intersection of visual art, storytelling, and collaboration.

Formless Form | 1 - 5 July in Oxo Gallery ❌

Formless Form is a group exhibition of abstract painting curated by Contemporary Art Asia, bringing together artists with Asian cultural backgrounds working in the UK.

Drawing on the concept of formlessness (无相) - the idea that ultimate reality transcends all fixed appearances and defining characteristics - the exhibition explores how abstract artworks can give presence to that which resists definition.

The works gathered here do not seek to represent Asian identity or aesthetics; rather, they engage seriously with the philosophical proposition that form and formlessness are inseparable.

1m³ | 24 - 28 June in Oxo Gallery ❌

Thirty emerging artists present 1m³, a group exhibition by recently graduated BA Fine Art students from University for the Creative Arts - UCA.

By limiting the scale of the works presented within this exhibition to 1m³ maximum, the restriction placed upon these emerging artists is rendered equal, creating a fair and level playing field from which to present redacted elements of their full graduation work.

This limited size speaks of the struggles of emerging artists, who experience constraints commensurate with their individual level of financial/societal support, privilege, or hardship. It addresses the anxiety and unequal places on the starting line for artists breaking out of the supported education setting into the professional art world, and invites wider discussion about the reduction of governmental support for the arts, in education and wider society.
