**SCHOOLS KAYAK TRIP TO GERRY’S OPPORTUNITY** We have one upcoming funded local schools’ trip on Monday 29th June for up to 30 children available. If you are a local school to W9 please get in touch, preferably Primary Years 5 or 6. Recently we have been partnering with the London Sports Trust who enable children access to the water. Here is a short clip of a film (by Jack Taylor Gotch) and images (by Teddy Cavendish) of some of our recent tours with local children from Queens Park Primary School. The children seemed to really connect with Gerry’s work. They couldn’t believe it had all been made by one man. If you are a school local to Gerry’s Pompeii and are interested in visiting please let us know and you can join our list ready for when we start making our boat trips more regular from spring next year. Introducing the ‘Gerry Ferry’.
Although we have limited access to Gerry’s Pompeii apart from via the legendary Nick & Alison’s home who often allow special tours through, it is possible to arrive by boat!
Recently we have been partnering with the London Sports Trust who enable children access to the water. Here are some images of some of our recent tours with children from the local area. Many of the children seemed to really connect with Gerry’s work. They couldn’t believe it had all been made by one man.

Very excited for you all to witness what’s happening on two of the boats this Sunday for Gerry’s Gongoozling — thanks to the stunning sessions by the fabulous clown and performance artist & the glorious dancer and choreographer who have been leading two stunning workshops inspired by Gerry’s to develop a performance, we thought about actions taking place at Gerry’s (a marble rolling in a puddle…) as well as words that came to our minds from witnessing it (otherwordly, sparkly, mysterious, ceremony…) to colour the quality of our movements ~ *Muse-ical Statues* …. ‘Local myth has it that when the clock strikes 3pm on this day, Gerry’s statues will awaken from a deep slumber for a long awaited boat ride. They have spent years looking at the canal boats passing by, yearning to navigate the shallow waters. This collaborative performance transforms these concrete historic figures into living portals to a fantastical world.

Curious Gongoozlers !!! You are invited to expect the unexpected with us for Gerry’s Gongoozling: A Canal Procession on Sunday 28th September 2025. Meeting time: 2:45 pm (leaving promptly at 3:00 pm!)..Meeting Location: Paddington Station, canal-side exit (follow signage to Gerry’s Gongoozling - departure from the Electric Barge mooring stop)…outlandish artists’ performances under bridges; playful interventions on the banks of the canal, roving walkabout puppets, perch-boat mime, handkerchief choreography, clowning with live Romanian brass and Samba rhythms carrying the procession weaving between interactive scripts and balcony performances that open windows onto other worlds.

11 artist projects have been commissioned with many working with local community groups to develop their work. So far, participating artists Sharmain Gordon-Forde and Kyra Zhang have collaborated with The Avenues Youth Project in a workshop series around early Reggae and Sound System Culture with lots more to come. Recordings and student-made vinyls will be presented as part of the artists’ culminating celebration in a Jamaican-Irish celebration, drawing on the history of the shebeen. The afternoon will feature performances, DJs, presenting intergenerational voices and diverse cultural talent from the Notting Hill community. In true Gerry style, everyone is invited to dress with ‘a little sparkle’ and extra bonus points given for anyone arriving as a glittering historical figure!

Have you ever been Gongoozling?? Now is your chance !! We are Incredibly excited to invite you to to join our inaugural canal procession on *Sunday 28th September* at 3pm ~ with all these glorious artists responding to and Gongoozling ~ expect the unexpected ~ collective absurd and unusual encounters as we process for an hour along the towpaths following a mini flotilla.

WHERE/WHEN Meet at The Electric Barge (turn left out of the canal exit at Paddington Statjon for 10 mins) at 2.50 for a prompt 3pm start…

Gerry’s in every window UPDATE: a NHG representative has confirmed an extension for Gerry's to remain in situ until December 6th!
