This is a major Throwback to when I made my PlayWriting debut (The Queens Wish) in 2021 so if you’ve not watched it on YouTube, you are slow!🤭 Fam, it was a great ACHIEVEMENT that I get to write, produce and performed in my play adaptation of William Shakespeare’s KInglear in the year 2021 way back in Nigeria. Guys, I can’t lie or pretend that this was a creative investment that tested me in All frontiers and I was everything from a producer, to an Actor to a production coordinator because nothing dies around me! When I put my hands on the plough, I dont look back and that was the approach I had when I was going to make this production come to life. From the onset of the writing of the script which was my debut as a playwright to the point of auditioning for casts, forming my artistic team, overseeing project management and running the performance for three days, at my Almamater, (The University of Ibadan)… I was broken and excited at the same time. I also learnt on the job, such that, If I had to do this again, I know what to do and what not to do, and in doing it again, it won’t be long so brace up for the UK premiere. Shoutout to all my amazing casts and crew who made this production come to life, and to my Theatre teachers for their incredible guidance, and my wonderful colleagues for their support. Theatre a gbe wa o!❤️🎭
