SHAKESPEARE: FROM PAGE TO STAGE With Peter Searles
A practical, playful performance workshop.

Casting will be imaginative—across gender, against type and with plenty of role-swapping. We’ll try different approaches, keep the staging simple and finish with rough-and-ready performances.

No preparation or previous Shakespeare experience is needed. Open to all abilities: just turn up, join in and off we go. All scripts will be provided on the day.

Take advantage of the opportunity to have a one to one Acting Through Song session with the wonderful and inspirational Vanessa Havell.

These sessions are for you if you are looking to unlock your potential and freedom when singing. To investigate and play with your song in new and fresh ways. Vanessa focusses on the present and finding the truth of the song, working from an acting and imaginative view point. This is not a singing technique class.

It’s devastating to see that 1a Tower, the Actors Centre former home, is sold and up for commercial rent.

It is a huge loss to the acting profession and the Arts in general.

Needlessly repurposed, squandered and destroyed by Seven Dials Playhouse CEO Amanda Davey and the board of trustees.
We await the outcome of the. Charity Commission for England and Wales statuary enquiry.

But - we rise again. The New Actors Centre has begun its first full year programme and is thriving at our new home Marylebone Theatre

Come and join us and help shape the future of affordable, accessible ongoing acting trading and vital, collaborative community.
