I treasure this painting a lot. It was a real labour of love to paint, with all the intricate details on the industrial bits.
I remember feeling really anxious when struggling with those, and very proud when I’d achieved them.
I made it for a show I had last summer at the wonderful in with Rupert and Abi from .studio (love you guys 👋)
The painting is called On My Way Somewhere and it was bought yesterday by an architect in St Malo, Brittany, to live in their stunning home. It will be on its way there soon.

I just found out these three tree paintings from the summer have been bought by a collector from Ireland.

They were on show at since last week.
I think I’ll next be back in Brittany in April 2023 to do more trees. I only paint these from observation, so I’ll try to stay a month or so to get a few done.

Three more paintings that went to new homes during the Affordable Art Fair this week.

How wonderful to imagine them already hanging on unfamiliar walls. Btw, if you have ever bought anything from me, please don’t be shy to send me a photo of the painting in your place. I love to see where they live!

That’s me with a new collector in Paris about a month ago.
The photo is blurry because my dad took it… But you can feel the moment nevertheless.

It’s nice to meet the person behind the likes, and the emails and comments, so come say hello at the Affordable Art Fair if you can. I’d love to meet you.

It’s in Battersea Park, it starts tonight, and I’ll be there from 6 till 8 today Wednesday. Stand F7. Look for Gina Cross Art and Design.

Free tickets are available. Just DM me or for the VIP code. It’s a link that gives you access to free tickets on the day and time you want to visit the fair, tonight for the PV 🍸, or Saturday morning with the kids 🛴. Whatever works for you.

What else? There’s a bar, a cafe, lots to see and it’s in the park, where the colours are looking gorgeous 🍁🍂

So I’ll be there tonight Wednesday 19th Oct 6-8pm, and also tomorrow Thursday 5:30 till late. Friday evening 6-8pm. Saturday before lunch, and Sunday around 2-4pm.
My brilliant and friendly gallery Gina Cross will be there to show you my work and answer any questions if I’m not around.

Hello morning!

I’m never normally up that early and so it’s the first time I’ve witnessed this phenomenon in my landscape (slide 1). There must be a combination of haze and sun to create this beam of light into the sky. Whatever it is, it was worth getting up for.

Slide 2 is one of my favourite views out of my bedroom window. I’ve painted it a couple of times and must do it again.

Slide 3. Even the ugly becomes beautiful with the right light.

Hello from my art residency at in the Stroud Valleys.
I’m painting in a corner of the most beautiful bedroom with a view, trying to make something of the widest, most intricate and dauntingly huge landscape in front of me. I see the weather arriving, changing by the minute, carried by sudden gusts of wind. The silence and solitude are wrapping me like a blanket, allowing my thoughts to travel undisturbed.
