This month marks 51 years since “A Chorus Line” opened on Broadway and changed musical theatre forever.💛
The show was based off recorded conversations with real dancers, eight of whom went on to originate roles in the original production. Their words became the show’s dialogue, speaking honestly about their hopes, their heartbreaks, and the sacrifices it took to chase a life on stage. It redefined the American musical, and its legacy still shapes the art form today.
