Grupo Martillada is a compact vibes-led quintet with the BIG sound! Combining edgy New Yorican salsa sophistication with the classics of Latin jazz, it’s the sound of percussive melodic energy! The band has come together from across the musical spectrum of session players and literally from around the world of salsa, pop, soul and the jazz legacy:

Dave Hammer (USA/UK)- vibraphone/percussion/vocals

Roberto Pla (Colombia/UK)- timbales/percussion

Satin Singh (India/UK)- congas

Seb Singh (India/UK)- piano/vocals

Capping off our May line up is

The Past Unperfect is an experienced trio of London-based musicians who are passionate about performing original music. We create music that tells our stories — and we have plenty of those. We blend blues and alt-country, combining the sound of electric guitars with folk drums. Every story needs its own language and sound, and cannot be confined to a genre like a bird in a cage. We’re inspired by the late Johnny Cash, the early Tom Waits, John Lee Ho**er and Muddy Waters.
