Responding to AxisAxis’ site in a rapidly redeveloping Elephant & Castle, ‘post-‘ explores how sites of artistic and administrative labour are continuously transformed, repurposed and reappropriated in both public and private spaces.

Presenting new works by Libby Hoffenberg and Louis Caseley, ‘post-‘ inhabits the gap between the expectations of a visionary future and the realities of a present that has failed to deliver.

AxisAxis is an experimental project space based in the two functioning lifts at Koppel Heights, an ex-office block currently housing artist studios. Developed in collaboration with studio artist Ellie Wyatt and comprising two small blue noticeboards, the project seeks to make use of peripheral, transitory and in-between spaces, acknowledging the precarities, hierarchies, and constant rise, fall and rise of artists and the spaces they inhabit.

This week, our ANNEX gallery in Elephant & Castle has been made available to our artists community working at Heights studios for 'Untitled Assembly', a temporary, collectively occupied exhibition taking place from 12 to 15 October 2026.

During four days, Untitled Assembly considers the conditions through which artistic work is exhibited, circulated and made visible. Within a sector in which access to space, resources and professional networks can shape an artist’s opportunities, the project temporarily suspends the conventional distinction between those selected to exhibit and those who are not.

Rather than presenting a curated representation of the building’s artistic community, this initiative makes the exhibition space itself available as a shared resource.

The public is invited to visit the ANNEX during the project’s opening hours and encounter the gallery in whatever state it occupies. Works may appear, disappear, overlap or be replaced; documentation will record moments in the exhibition’s development without attempting to establish a definitive version.

For four days, the ANNEX will function as an open space in which artists can install, alter, accumulate, remove and respond to work. Painting, sculpture, photography, moving image, sound, text, performance and other forms of practice may coexist within the gallery. Contributions can be temporary or....

Excited to welcome Victoria Eggs to this year’s Open Studios in at The Koppel Project!

Victoria Eggs is a British homeware and gifting brand, founded in 2011 by Victoria, who still hand-draws every design herself. Each piece is lovingly made in the UK by skilled makers they’ve hand-picked, from mugs, tea towels and biscuit tins to cushion covers, candles, notebooks and tote bags, all carrying our “handmade in the UK” mark as a promise of quality.

Over the years they’ve been lucky enough to work with some wonderful names, including Liberty London, the British Library, the Royal Albert Hall, St Paul’s Cathedral and the House of Commons.

During Open Studios, visitors are warmly invited into their new studio on the first floor of KOPPEL Kingston to say hello to Victoria and the team, see where their designs come to life and browse the latest collections, including A London Christmas Tale, their most detailed collection yet. Visitors can also shop exclusive limited edition prints, available only at the studio, and help them name the Highland Cow who stars in their new Everything Edinburgh collection.

We can’t wait to welcome you into Adriana Shportan’s studio at Kingston Open Studios next weekend!

Adriana Shportan is a Ukrainian visual artist originally from the Ternopil region of Ukraine, working and living in London. Earlier this year at The Koppel Project, Adriana presented ’10 Dogs, 10 Cats and a Unicorn’, her first solo exhibition.

Adriana’s practice explores the formation of identity through the interaction of external circumstances, collective memory and personal experience. Her works construct a space between memory and imagined imagery, where fragments of recollection intertwine with dreamlike motifs and inner visions. Through these hybrid states, she traces the dynamics of internal transformations - their fragility, velocity and potential force.

Meet Adriana and discover more artwork in her studio at KOPPEL Kingston during Open Studios, Friday 9 and Saturday 10 October, 11am-5pm.

We’re pleased to welcome artist Polly Fehily to our Kingston Open Studios, having joined our studios earlier this year.

Polly has a BA in Fine Art from Sunderland College of Art and, following a working life as a make-up artist in film and television, completed the Advanced Painting Course at The Essential School of Painting in London in 2024. Her practice is centred around heavy, well-used objects including irons, weights, shoe lasts, spades, forks and tools. Drawn to their forms, histories and the traces of use left behind, Polly places these objects against fragile paper, creating a tension between weight and delicacy. Her mark-making developed from drawing around objects with a pencil, building each work line by line. The resulting drawings carry a sense of labour and time, while the worn tools become presences in their own right.

We’re very pleased to have Polly as part of our Kingston community and to be opening the doors to her studio as part of Open Studios on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 October, 11am-5pm.

Open Doors Gallery is delighted to invite you to their upcoming exhibition 'Second Nature' at KOPPEL Collective, a group show bringing together a selection of contemporary artists whose imaginations intervene with the natural world, distorting and enhancing our perspectives.

The artists brought together here share an attention to the natural world but approach their chosen themes very differently, pushing at the boundaries of their medium to examine the mysterious beauty found in nature. What results are landscapes that never quite existed, assembled from imagination, from childhood memory and through their unique artistic processes.

Featuring Chloé Azzopardi, Jennifer Latour, Luca Ortis, Gil Rocca and Yurian Quintanas Nobel
