We are cancelling our event on the 2nd of December.
This is due to a number of reasons, one of which being the ongoing acts of genocide in Palestine.
The actions the world has witnessed are those of a direct and sustained campaign to eradicate Palestine and its people and we are in every way opposed to this.
As a group we have been silent until now which is not ok. We are working on educating ourselves, our collective and community as a whole to incite more positive change and a commitment to peace, including calling for an immediate ceasefire.
We know we are only a small platform, but one that aims to help and lift up q***rs and emerging artists from all walks of life. Within this there is a need of accountability when it comes to hugely pressing political issues, and a need to address them.
We are committed to spreading a message of peace, love and support. Qwe’re was born out of a need for q***r world making, and when we see worlds destroyed we need to speak up and stand for what is just and good.
We make a commitment to peace and uplifting the voices of those that are oppressed by borders, governments, people and hostile political agendas, and are also committed to peace, solidarity and collective empowerment.
Through postponing we hope to make our next event have solidarity at the centre. Please q***r activists, artists and allies that want to get involved, reach out to us with the best way we can collaborate and fundraise in these very heart breaking times.
We will be attending demonstrations in London and Bristol this weekend, and urge you to make them if you can.
We won’t stay silent anymore.
We absolutely oppose Israel and their targeted aggression and genocidal intent.
We support Palestine.
