I made this cake a few weeks ago when the leaves were falling and the autumn vibes were strong. I can’t believe how quickly the last few weeks have gone, it’s nearly Christmas!
My friend who kindly asked me to bake this cake gave me the colour theme and matched all the decorations for their mother’s 70th Lockdown International Zoom Party! So sweet 😍

I loved making this vegan cake for a little girl’s first birthday! You wouldn’t believe how many food products contain animal derived ingredients. That’s why I always read and check every label on every single ingredient that I use. And it’s amazing what vegan alternatives you can find and create when you really try!

This cake may have taken me twice as long to make, but it certainly gave me twice as much satisfaction at the end!

I had so much fun creating these little animals for a very special one-year-old! The colour theme was chosen to match the decorations and the animals chosen to be as cute and happy as the birthday girl!

The lovely asked me if I could make something for her mum’s birthday that would be “diabetic-friendly” but still yummy.
I used organic coconut sugar due its lower glycaemic index. And the buttercream was made with 30% less sugar. Still as delicious but a little less guilt! 😋

Two things I loved the most about this cake: the colours and the fragrance! It took me back to when I was a kid, we used to have After Eights at home and I thought you had to wait until after 8pm to eat them! My parents weren’t in a rush to correct me either!

I finally got to make a dentistry-related cake! This cake was kindly requested by a dentist, for his friend who has been accepted to start her Orthodontic Speciality Training 🎉🤩
Congratulations and thanks .shiv.smile for giving me the opportunity to merge my two passions in life - teeth and cake! (Well... maybe I have more passion for one than the other 🤪)
