A.MAL Lately: Jessica El Mal

As we work up to our next project, there are some shows I've seen, or been part of, captured in my camera roll that I keep returning to.

Firstly, the exhibition of at which I was part of. Image 1 is of my own architectural intervention in the hotel's courtyard and image 2 an installation from Akim El Ouardi in one of the salons.

Image 3 is Morehshin Allahyari: Speculations on Capture at the V&A, which I keep thinking about in terms of how the the gaze the camera a technology of ownership

Two works in Electric Dreams (the only two actually) which make me think about machines as interlocutors between land and human, rather than just tools of extraction (Images 4,5&6)

7, An original Ildrissi map, seen where else but the British Museum (🙄)

8, The weekender full of films on climate injustice, and where I was lucky enough to introduce and host a discussion about sustaining resistance, more relevent now than ever

9, a film at .a.s as part of .zine exhibition which reflects something I think about a lot, how certain memes (I'm talking the glittering roses and the cartoons blowing kisses) surpass language and distance and enable ppl in the diaspora to feel the love and well wishes of aunties miles away in a way that messages can't maybe? (artist plz DM me to tag u!)

And lastly but not at all least, the fruitful conversation between, and work of
and .aldu , the former of the show Limbs of the Lunar Disc which I was so proud and honoured to curate and the latter the writer of most beautiful and insightful book Babylon Albion.

If you made it this far welcome to my psyche 🙃

More info coming very soon!

A.MAL Lately: Elodie Sacher

I'm busy working behind the scenes managing and curating the next A.MAL project that's being announced soon. At the same time, I am continuing to delve deeper into my research on image politics, staging & display strategies, and aesthetics of dynastic representation in the former Sharifian Empire and present-day Morocco.

Here are some shots of a website I'm currently developing with , thinking about how to creatively distribute research ideas, including some snippets from my PhD research, archival finds as well as my own photography.

A.MAL Lately: Younes El Hossaini

Hey I'm Younes and I will be developing the technical concept and leading the production of the next A.MAL Project that will be announced soon.

Since moving from Casablanca to Berlin a few years ago, I have specialised in installing media art exhibitions.

Some recent shows I've worked on have been Jeremy Shaw's 'Phase Shifting Index' at , ALADIN BORIOLI's 'Bannkörbe', as well as Lucy Raven's 'Ready Mix' and Carola Schneeman's 'Up to and Including Her Limits' at (pics above).

Ice lollies are actually essential to this line of work ;)

Can't wait to tell you more.
