“For his first solo exhibition in Madrid, multidisciplinary artist Barquero presents a living scenography where a return to the sacred is celebrated before the presence of the destruction of idols such as Nietzsche and Jesus Christ, who advocated a rebirth and come back to the sacred. Here the word joins the gesture to recover the innocence of all things. By using gesturea of cultural destruction, the artist aspires to start over from scratch: the word becomes destruction”.
