āGet in to my soul, deep in my soulā, coz we are all so focused on the outside without knowing whoās within.
So Iād like you to take a moment to read my words šš¼.
Baliās been a whirlwind,
fragments of the island revealing themselvesā¦
I started in the jungle, ceremonies, healing, peace, reconnecting to myself š§š¼āāļø.
Then Canggu, busier, faster, more commercial.
And Uluwatu, surfy, beautiful peeps, a strong emphasis on the physical.
āWorkout-aholicsā both inspiring and intimidating, but also clarifying.
Because somewhere along the way, I realised Iām coming home to myself.
I grew up without smartphones, without being constantly photographed, and here, you really feel the contrast. Places where people are just living, unseen.
Locals going about their lives, a realness that feels like stepping back in time, and others where every moment becomes something to photograph.
And in that contrast, It reaffirms that I donāt want to focus on the surface.
Iām not chasing perfect,
Iām at peace with being imperfect.
Less makeup, bare nails, blonde again, my natural colour after a decade of dying my hair dark brown and not loving myself.
Iām not chasing abs, Iām chasing acceptance.
Iām realising the real heroās journey isnāt becoming someone newā¦
itās returning to who I am, and learning to love her.
Thank you Bali,
not for teaching me anything new,
but for confirming exactly where Iām headed.
