It’s spooky season at Photofusion.

Join tutor Magda Kuca for a hands-on journey into the mysterious world of electrophotography, using high-voltage electricity to create glowing Kirlian “aura” prints from everyday objects. In this workshop, you’ll make up to five contact prints, experimenting with small conductive items from living plants to jewellery and metal trinkets to produce eerie, halo-like images.

You can also step into Tarot with artist and Photofusion General Manager Liz Gorman in a cameraless darkroom workshop where you’ll design your own bespoke Tarot card print. You’ll explore the symbolism of the Major Arcana, receive a short Tarot reading to guide your concept, and then bring your chosen archetype to life using light, shadow and everyday objects.

No prior Tarot or darkroom experience is required for either course, just a willingness to play at the border of photography, intuition and the unseen.

Want to save 15% on either course? Become a Photofusion Member today. For more information and to book, visit https://eu1.hubs.ly/H0yX4cL0

This is the final week to view Select/26, our current exhibition showcasing the work of Photofusion Members, Maura Jamieson, Deepthi Muralibabu, Naomi Woddis and Maxwell Anderson, first introduced in our members’ exhibition Salon/25.

From more than 80 members, each showing a single image, judges Josh Lustig, Holly-Marie Cato, Linsey Young and Ryan Prince selected these four artists to develop a larger body of work, creating space to explore their themes and artistic visions more deeply. Spanning environmental legacies, familial memory, the tenderness of eldercare, and community displacement, these deeply personal projects reflect the breadth of the artists’ practice.

We encourage you to learn more about this free exhibition and the exceptional work by the artists by visiting our website at https://eu1.hubs.ly/H0yHLw_0

Select/26 runs through 3 October

Thank you to everyone who came along and contributed to such an engaged conversation, and a particular thank you to educator, curator and photographer Andy Golding for thoughtfully hosting the evening.

Select/26 runs until 3 October. You can learn more about the exhibition and the artists on our website https://eu1.hubs.ly/H0yxGnS0
